History and Background
IIT Hyderabad is ranked 8th under the “Engineering” category by the NIRF Ranking 2024. The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad , widely known as IIT Hyderabad , was established in 2008 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It was set up with financial assistance from the Government of Japan. It has been given ‘Autonomous’ status and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). IITH is one of the finest engineering colleges with a campus area of 576 acres. The institute offers a futuristic and advanced learning experience due to its rich and dynamic young faculty. IITH is one of the 23 IITs currently functioning in India and has been declared as an institute of national importance. The institute offers UG, PG, and PhD programs.
