Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai Highlights Valliammai Engineering College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India was founded on 9 September 1999. It is an annex of the SRM Group of Educational Institutions and is supported by the Valliammai Society. Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar founded it in honor of his mother, Tmt. R. Valliammai. The institute continues to value ideals of excellence in teaching and all round development. It provides 11 undergraduate and 8 postgraduate courses through Engineering, Management and other disciplines. It is set on a 13.35-acre campus near NH 45, between Tambaram and Chengalpattu, the lush green environment offers a most suitable ambience for carrying out higher studies. The campus is equipped with a multi-storey building complex, with an area of 59,000 m(2), which has been built in order to respond to the demands of its rapidly increasing student body.
