History and Background
About T John College, Bangalore T. John College opened in Bengaluru in 1993 with a single programme, the three-year Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM). Commerce and computing came next, with BBM and B.Sc courses. The college is now an autonomous college under Bangalore University and part of the larger T. John Group of Institutions. The group also runs pharmacy and technology colleges. Those come under different universities: pharmacy programmes are affiliated to RGUHS, and engineering to VTU. T. John College itself handles the arts, commerce, management and computer applications side, with its own syllabus because it is autonomous. The college offers: BHM (Hotel Management), the original course BBA, including Aviation and Logistics and International Business options BCA with tracks in cloud computing, AI, data analytics and cyber security B.Com, including ACCA and logistics options, and B.Sc Fashion and Apparel Design MBA, MCA, M.Com and M.Sc in Biochemistry and Biotechnology Undergraduate admission is based on Class 12 or PUC marks, through a direct application to the college. MBA and MCA seats in Karnataka are generally filled through PGCET, and the college also accepts national scores such as CAT for its management programmes. Hotel management, aviation, logistics and fashion sit alongside regular commerce and computing courses, so students can pick a job-oriented route at the undergraduate level.
