History and Background
About Suryadatta College of Management Information Research & Technology, Pune Suryadatta College of Management, Information Research and Technology (SCMIRT) is part of the Suryadatta Education Foundation, a Pune group that runs institutions from school level up to MBA and Ph.D. The college works from the group's campus at Bavdhan, near Chandani Chowk off the NDA-Pashan Road, on the western side of the city. SCMIRT is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. SPPU has approved its BBA, BCA and BFT programmes since 2004, and the college follows the university's syllabus and exam timetable. It runs an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and an Innovation and Start Up Cell where students can work on business ideas under the Start Up India scheme. Programmes cover management, computing, commerce and design: BBA BCA B.Com with Business Management, Computer Applications and International Business options B.Sc Computer Science and B.Sc IT BFT (Fashion Technology) and B.Sc Home Science M.Com Undergraduate admission is open after Class 12 under SPPU rules, with BBA and BCA admissions following the university's entrance and eligibility norms for those courses.
