College of Engineering and Technology, Akola (COETA), was established in 1983 by Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati. Dr. Panjabrao (Bhausaheb) Deshmukh founded the society in 1932. The campus is at Babhulgaon, Akola. The college is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University. It is recognised by AICTE, the Government of Maharashtra and the Council of Architecture.
