About SS Jain Subodh PG College
History and Background
About SS Jain Subodh PG College, Jaipur S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College stands at Rambagh Circle, close to the centre of Jaipur. It is about 2 km from Narayan Singh bus stand and just over 5 km from Jaipur Junction. The college opened in 1954 under the S.S. Jain Subodh Shiksha Samiti, a not-for-profit society that has run schools and colleges in the city for more than ninety years and now manages 21 institutions with around 32,000 students. The college is autonomous. It is affiliated to the University of Rajasthan and to Rajasthan Technical University for its technical courses. NAAC has re-accredited it with an A++ grade and a CGPA of 3.60, which the college says is the highest in northern India. UGC has also named it a mentor institution, which means it guides other colleges preparing for NAAC accreditation. Subodh is a large multi-faculty college, and the course list is long: B.Sc in physical and life science groups, and major-minor options in physics, chemistry, mathematics, zoology, botany, microbiology, biotechnology, psychology, statistics and computer science B.Com, including ABST, EAFM and Business Administration B.A. in subjects such as geography, history, political science and economics Postgraduate degrees, diplomas, PG diplomas and certificate courses M.Phil. and Ph.D. research programmes Science departments have received research support from central agencies, including the Department of Biotechnology. Admission for each session is done online through the college website, where roll lists and fee payments are also handled. Over seven decades, Subodh alumni have gone into public service, the armed forces, business and teaching.
