History and Background
About Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT) is at Pachapalayam in Coimbatore. It started in 2002 and is managed by the SNR Sons Charitable Trust, the same trust that runs Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College. SRIT is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, and approved by AICTE. It became autonomous in 2017, and it now publishes its own regulations and syllabus. The most recent scheme is R-2025. NAAC reaccredited the college with an A grade (CGPA 3.20) in April 2023. Students searching TNEA choice lists will find it under counselling code 2725. Undergraduate engineering courses include: B.E. Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech Information Technology B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering B.E. Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering Postgraduate options are M.E. Communication Systems, M.E. Computer Science and Engineering and M.E. Power Systems, along with MBA and MCA programmes. B.E. and B.Tech seats are filled through TNEA counselling based on Class 12 marks, and the rest through the management quota. Postgraduate admission takes TANCET scores, and GATE qualifiers can apply for M.E. seats. The college prints a detailed academic calendar each year, including the 2026-27 edition.
