About Sri Padmavati Mahila Vishwavidyalayam - SPMVV, Tirupathi Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) is a state university for women at Padmavati Nagar in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. N. T. Rama Rao, then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, founded it in 1983 with the aim of giving women in the state access to both general and professional higher education in one place. The university is accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC and is ISO 21001:2018 certified. It set up its Internal Quality Assurance Cell in 2003 and a separate rankings office in 2016, and it takes part in NIRF every year.
