About SK Somaiya Degree College of Arts Science and Commerce, Mumbai S.K. Somaiya College of Arts, Science and Commerce (SKSASC) has been teaching undergraduates since 1995 on the Somaiya Vidyavihar campus at Vidyavihar in north-east Mumbai. That campus also houses the Somaiya trust's schools, junior colleges, professional colleges and Somaiya Vidyavihar University. SKSASC itself is a separate college affiliated to the University of Mumbai, under college code 540. The college offers two main degree programmes under the university's choice-based credit system: Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), with Psychology, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology and History, along with English, Hindi and Marathi Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) The B.A. has been offered since the college opened in 1995. The college presents it as a programme that builds analytical reading, independent thinking and the ability to argue from evidence, and the arts faculty connects humanities teaching to new technologies and social questions. The B.Com. follows the University of Mumbai's commerce syllabus under the same credit and grading system. SKSASC is accredited by NAAC with a B+ grade in its third cycle.
