About Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology, Indore Shri Govindram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS) is a government-aided engineering institute at 23 Park Road, Indore. It opened in 1952 and received academic autonomy in 1989, which has since been extended up to 2034–35. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, and some programmes are linked to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. It is approved by AICTE and accredited by both NBA and NAAC. SGSITS runs undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in engineering, pharmacy, applied sciences and management. Undergraduate courses include: B.Tech Civil Engineering B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Technology B.Tech Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering B.Tech Biomedical Engineering B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Robotics B.Pharm B.Tech seats are filled on the basis of JEE Main ranks through online counselling run by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh. The two-year MBA has 60 seats and admits students through CMAT scores and DTE online counselling. M.Tech, M.Pharm and Ph.D. admissions follow separate notices issued by the institute. The campus sits in the centre of Indore, with about 85,000 square metres of built-up space for its departments and laboratories. As an autonomous institute, SGSITS sets its own syllabus and examinations, while degrees are awarded through the affiliating university.
