Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College (Seth GS Medical College) is the municipal medical college attached to King Edward Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai. The official site is https://www.kem.edu/. This record is marked public. The city stays Mumbai. A history article reprinted on the hospital site says the college opened on 1 June 1925 with 46 students, six of them women, and that the college and hospital were formally inaugurated on 22 January 1926. The hospital, then with 125 beds, started admitting patients on 15 January 1926. That article says the college was affiliated to the University of Bombay. It is a 1988 reprint, so it is not used here as a statement of the current affiliating university, current bed strength or current fees. Dr Jivraj Mehta is named as the first dean.
