About Seshadripuram College
History and Background
About Seshadripuram College, Bangalore The Seshadripuram group traces its start to 1930, when two women, Smt. Anandamma and Smt. Seethamma, opened a two-room primary school with 20 children in the Seshadripuram area of Bangalore. That school grew into the Seshadripuram Educational Trust, and in 1973 the trust opened Seshadripuram College on Nanjappa Street, at a time when the city had only a handful of undergraduate colleges. The college is permanently affiliated to Dr. Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University and follows that university's syllabus. NAAC has accredited it with an A++ grade, the highest band in its scale. Commerce is its strongest area, and over five decades it has built a reputation as one of the best-known commerce colleges in Bangalore. Programmes on offer include: B.Com, B.Com (Accounting and Finance) and B.Com (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) BBA and BCA M.Com and M.Com (Financial Analysis) MBA and MCA Undergraduate admission is based on PUC or Class 12 marks through the college's application process. For the MBA and MCA, the college follows university and AICTE rules and accepts scores from tests such as PGCET, KMAT, MAT and CAT. The postgraduate departments use internships and project work, and the MBA is pitched as a lower-fee option compared with many private business schools in the city. The two-room school of 1930 is now part of the college's main campus. The college is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Its facilities include laboratories, a library, ICT-enabled and digital classrooms, a multi-gym, sports facilities, a health centre and campus Wi-Fi. Students can join NCC, NSS and Rangers and Rovers, and a placement cell offers career guidance, training and internships.
