History and Background
About Sasi Institute of Technology and Engineering, West Godavari Sasi Institute of Technology and Engineering, known locally as SITE, is an autonomous engineering college in Tadepalligudem, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The campus is near the town's aerodrome. It is run by the SASI Educational Society, which has worked in education for more than 45 years and says its schools and colleges across West and East Godavari have taught over 50,000 students. The college holds a NAAC A+ grade, NBA accreditation for its programmes, UGC recognition under Sections 2(f) and 12(B), and permanent affiliation to JNTU Kakinada. It is also recognised as a SIRO by DSIR and hosts an AICTE IDEA Lab, a maker space where students can build and test prototypes. SITE started with four branches: CSE, ECE, EEE and Mechanical. The course list is now much longer: B.Tech in Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and three CSE specialisations listed as CSM, CSD and CIC M.Tech in CSE, Power Electronics, VLSI and Embedded Systems, and CAD/CAM, plus an MBA Ph.D. research in ECE, CSE, EEE, Mechanical Engineering and Physics Diplomas in ECE, EEE, Mechanical and Computer Engineering An R&D cell supports project and research work across departments. The college publishes its NIRF data and NAAC self-study material on its website, so applicants can check the numbers for themselves. For an engineering seat in the Godavari region, SITE Tadepalligudem combines autonomy, an A+ NAAC grade and a wide choice of computer science branches.
