About Saraswati Institute of Business Management and Research (SIBMR)
History and Background
Saraswati Institute of Business Management and Research (SIBMR) is a private management school at Madhu Vihar on the Lucknow-Kanpur Highway (NH-25), in Uttar Pradesh. Directory listings give its founding year as 2009. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, for its MBA, and its programmes are approved by AICTE. It runs two two-year postgraduate programmes: the AKTU MBA and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). Older listings also mention diploma programmes in aviation and hospital management. The campus is spread over a large green site on the highway, with classrooms, computer labs, a library and internet access for students. Prof. Mukul Gupta is listed as director. The old web address sibmrlucknow.com no longer belongs to the institute and now redirects to an unrelated news site, so applicants should confirm current fees and seat details directly with the institute or through AKTU before applying. Besides the MBA and PGDM, listings for the institute have mentioned postgraduate diplomas in aviation management and hospital management. These take graduates with at least 50% marks, and final-year students may apply provisionally. Selection is by graduation marks, and MAT scores are accepted. Applicants should ask the institute which of these streams are running in the current session.
