About Sanghvi Institute of Management & Science
History and Background
About Sanghvi Institute of Management & Science, Indore Sanghvi Institute of Management and Science, usually shortened to SIMS, is on the western edge of Indore at Pigdambar near Rau, behind the IIM Indore campus. It has the financial backing of the Sanghvi Group of Indore but runs as a professionally managed institution with its own identity and management. The campus covers about 36 acres, and each school has a building of its own, designed to let in natural light and air. SIMS is approved by AICTE for its technical and management programmes and has affiliations with two universities: Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, for engineering, and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, for its other degree courses. Teaching is split into separate schools: School of Engineering, offering B.E. programmes including Civil and Mechanical Engineering School of Advance Management, running the PGDM and an Executive PGDM School of Management, with BBA in Business Management and Foreign Trade School of Computer Applications, with BCA School of Science, including B.Sc Biotechnology School of Under Graduate Studies, for B.Com and B.A. (Hons) The PGDM offers HR and Marketing tracks, with the marketing side covering retail, visual merchandising and corporate communication. Applications for all courses can be made through the admission form on the institute website, and engineering and university seats follow the rules of RGPV and DAVV. Students have taken part in BAJA SAEINDIA with a mechanical team and trained on STAAD.Pro through Bentley's academic programme.
