Ranchi University, Jharkhand: Overview Ranchi University is a public state university situated in Ranchi the capital of Jharkhand. Established in the year 1960 , the university has jurisdiction over 5 districts of Jharkhand, i.e., Ranchi, Simdega, Khunti, Gumla, and Lohardaga imparting quality education for the last 63 years in the state. NAAC ‘B++’ accredited university is affiliated with 49 colleges and 15 constituent colleges . Ranchi University courses are offered through postgraduate departments.
