History and Background
About Rakshpal Bahadur College of Engineering & Technology, Bareilly Rakshpal Bahadur College of Engineering and Technology (RBCET) is the engineering college on the Bareilly campus of the RBMI group, on Badaun Road near the Doordarshan Kendra and the ITBP centre. The group has been in education since 1996. It started with management, and between 2006 and 2008 AIMA rankings placed it among the top management schools in North India. It has since added engineering, pharmacy, computer applications and teacher education, and it now runs two campuses, one in Bareilly and one in Greater Noida. The Bareilly campus offers B.Tech in five branches: Computer Science and Engineering Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Electronics and Communication Engineering Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering The wider group also runs MBA, BBA, BCA, MCA, B.Pharm, B.Ed and nursing courses. Its engineering and pharmacy programmes are approved by AICTE and PCI, and the group says some of its university courses carry NAAC A++ accreditation through the universities they are affiliated to. Teaching uses smart classrooms, a learning management system and an ERP for attendance and records. The corporate resource centre runs placement training and mock interviews, and the group reports an average placement figure of 92 percent. Admissions for the 2026-27 session are open for B.Tech and the other programmes, and applicants can choose between the Bareilly and Greater Noida campuses.
