About PRR Law College
History and Background
About PRR Law College, Hyderabad P.R.R. Law College is in Yellareddyguda, behind Ameerpet in central Hyderabad. It opened in 1988 as the first institution of the Padala Rama Reddi Educational Society, a non-profit body started that year by Sri Padala Rama Reddi. His own story shaped the society. He lost his parents at eight and finished his schooling while living in an orphanage, and he went on to found colleges so that more young people could get a professional education. The college is affiliated to Osmania University and approved by the Bar Council of India. It was originally sanctioned by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, before Telangana was formed. It offers: LL.B. three-year programme for graduates LL.B. five-year integrated programme after Class 12 LL.M. in Corporate Law and in Constitutional Law Admission to the LL.B. courses is through TS LAWCET counselling, where the college code is PRRL. The society says many of its graduates have gone on to become judicial officers or set up their own legal practice. Beyond regular classes, the college runs value-added programmes. These include human rights awareness drives in rural areas and lectures by visiting academics and legal experts from India and abroad. The same society runs P.R.R. College of Commerce and Management, started in 1995, which offers an Osmania University MBA approved by AICTE. For law aspirants who want an Osmania-affiliated college close to Ameerpet, PRR Law College has more than 35 years of legal teaching behind it.
