About Principal K.M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai Principal K.M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy (KMKCP) was set up in 1971 as the first technical institute of the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board. The college now works from the Jote Joy Building on Rambhau Salgaonkar Road, Cuffe Parade, at the southern tip of the city. KMKCP is a government-aided college approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, and its B.Pharm programme is accredited by the NBA. From the 2026–27 academic year it is a constituent college of HSNC University, Mumbai. Sanctioned intake is as follows: B.Pharm, with 100 sanctioned seats M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics (15 seats), and in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy (5 seats each) Ph.D. in the same five subjects Research work at the college covers drug formulation, pharmacokinetics, analytical method development, synthesis of new compounds, standardisation of natural products and pharmacological testing. Two recent additions support this: the Madhusudhan Nyalchand Shah Technical Development Centre, which houses formulation machinery for hands-on training, and a herbal extraction unit for work on plant-based products. A placement cell arranges internships and campus interviews with pharma companies. Outside the classroom, students run cultural events, sports and a technical festival, and the college holds health camps, blood donation drives and public awareness programmes. Former students work across the pharmacy and allied industries, and the alumni association supports current students.
