Pragati College of Arts and Commerce is in Dombivli, Thane district, Maharashtra, and is run by the Thane Zilla Agri Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, founded in 1962. The Government of Maharashtra allowed the degree college to start on 26 June 1997, and a junior college wing followed in 1999-2000. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and offers B.A., B.Com, BMS and B.Sc. IT, plus M.A. Economics, M.Com and PhD programmes in commerce and economics.
