History and Background
About Pioneer Institute of Professional Studies, Indore Pioneer Institute of Professional Studies is a management and computer studies college in Indore and part of the Pioneer Education Group. It is permanently affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, and its degrees are awarded by DAVV. The UGC has granted the institute autonomous status for all its programmes. So it designs its own curriculum, conducts its own exams and publishes results on its own calendar. Postgraduate courses are designed to finish in two years and undergraduate courses in three. The UGC has also recognised it as a College with Potential for Excellence. Courses cover management, commerce and computing: BBA, BCA, B.Com (General) and B.Com (Computer Applications) B.Sc Computer Science MBA with Finance, Marketing and Human Resources specialisations MCA, and a PGDM in Advertising, Communication and Marketing The autonomous syllabus builds in a compulsory summer internship, minor and major research projects, industrial visits, personality development and English classes. The college says this prepares students better for campus recruitment. Undergraduate admission is based mainly on Class 12 marks. MBA and MCA applicants can come in through the routes the state and DAVV allow in a given year, such as MP MET or national scores like CAT.
