About NITTE University

History and Background

Nitte (Deemed to be University) grew out of the Nitte Education Trust, set up in 1979 by Justice K. S. Hegde. AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences was declared a deemed university on 4 June 2008. The about page says the campuses cover 52 acres in the Deralakatte-Paneer area of Mangaluru.
