History and Background
About New Delhi Institute for Information Technology and Management (NDIIT), Delhi The New Delhi Institute of Information Technology and Management (NDIIT) is a business school in Delhi run by a trust founded by Dr Sant Kumar Chaudhary, its founder chairman. The institute's main course today is a two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) approved by AICTE. NDIIT presents itself as a school with strong European links, and its board includes the dean of the international division at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania. The PGDM runs over four semesters. The first two cover the foundations and applications of management: economics, organisational behaviour, finance and accounting, management control, marketing, HR, information systems and quantitative methods. The last two are given to specialisation and to integrating global business developments. Students choose from areas such as: Finance, including banking, insurance, derivatives and portfolio management Marketing, including consumer research, sales and integrated communication Human resources, including employment law and strategic HRM IT, data analytics and operations, including Power BI, cyber security and ERP The institute says the syllabus is revised every semester based on industry and academic feedback, and teaching leans on live projects, internships and case studies. Each student is expected to publish at least two papers a year in peer-reviewed journals. There are two fee tracks: a premium track that adds a study tour and international internship, and a standard domestic track without the foreign component. NDIIT lists six-week live projects abroad in countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Egypt and Mauritius. To apply, candidates need a recognised three-year bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks, and final-year students may also apply. CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA and GMAT scores are accepted but not required, since students without a test score can be selected through a group discussion and personal interview. Graduates of regular, open, online and distance programmes are all eligible.
