About National Insurance Academy
History and Background
National Insurance Academy was set up on 16 December 1980 in Mumbai by the Ministry of Finance together with LIC, GIC and the public sector general insurers. It moved to its campus on Baner Road, Balewadi, Pune on 4 June 1990. The academy trains insurance staff, runs a PGDM in insurance and risk management, and does research and consultancy in insurance and pensions.
