About Mulund College of Commerce
History and Background
About Mulund College of Commerce, Mumbai Mulund College of Commerce (MCC) is on S.N. Road in Mulund West and has been part of the suburb since 1970. It was founded by the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association (PTVA), the trust behind several schools and colleges in Mumbai, including the PTVA Institute of Management and MLDCC (Mulund Law, Degree and Commerce College). The college is autonomous, a status granted by UGC, and it holds a NAAC A grade from its third cycle (2016-2026). Autonomy lets it set its own syllabus and exams within the University of Mumbai system. The current course list: B.Com, plus B.Com in Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, Financial Markets, Management Studies, Business Administration, and BFSI B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications and Data Science M.Com in Advanced Accountancy, Business Management, and Banking and Finance M.Sc in Information Technology and in Finance Ph.D. in Business Economics The B.Com BFSI programme is one of the more recent additions and is aimed at students heading for jobs in banking, financial services and insurance. Students also take part in Avishkar, the University of Mumbai's research competition. After more than 55 years in Mulund, MCC remains closely tied to the PTVA family of institutions.
