About MS Ramaiah Law College, Bangalore Ramaiah College of Law, earlier known as M.S. Ramaiah College of Law, was set up in 1995 by Dr M.S. Ramaiah with the approval of the Bar Council of India. It belongs to the Gokula Education Foundation, which Dr Ramaiah founded in 1962 and which now runs a number of Ramaiah institutions in Bengaluru, each with its own infrastructure and faculty. The college is in M.S.R. Nagar, off New BEL Road, close to the Ramaiah Institute of Technology campus. The college is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi, and recognised by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B). It has an Internal Quality Assurance Cell that prepares annual quality reports in line with NAAC guidelines. Its students have appeared among the rank holders in the Karnataka State Law University examinations. Undergraduate law is taught through integrated programmes that pair the LL.B. with a social science, business or commerce degree, and the college also runs a postgraduate programme. The main options are: B.A. LL.B. (five years) BBA LL.B. (five years) B.Com LL.B. (five years) A postgraduate programme in law Alongside classes, students take part in moot courts, debates, legal aid camps and sports, and some former students have returned to teach at the college. The NCC unit is also active, with cadets recognised for their achievements.
