About Modern Group of Institutes
History and Background
About Modern Group of Institutes, Indore Modern Group of Institutions is a pharmacy and management group in Indore, with its campus at Alwasa on Sanwer Road, behind Rewti Range. It started in 2007. Its founder, the late Shri P. C. Kharia, was a pharmacist by training who also qualified in law and management and built a business in the pharmaceutical trade. After his death, his sons carried his plan for an educational institution forward. The group is backed by his businesses, Modern Laboratories, Nandani Medical Laboratories and Notion Pharma, so it has close links with the drug industry. The institutes are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. Pharmacy courses are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, and management courses by AICTE. The programmes are: B.Pharm, M.Pharm and D.Pharm MBA (Pharmaceutical Management), a mix of pharmacy and business aimed at sales, marketing and operations roles in pharma companies MBA and BBA B.Com B.Ed The pharma MBA is the course that sets the group apart. Industry advisers are involved in the programme, and the group says its links with the pharma business help tie classroom work to practice. The group also has a city office in Vijay Nagar, opposite Meghdoot Garden, for admission enquiries.
