About Kopal Institute of Science & Technology, Bhopal Kopal Institute of Science and Technology, known as KISTECH, is an engineering college near Neelbad Square at Kalkheda, on the western side of Bhopal. It is part of the Kopal group, which began in 1984 with Kopal Higher Secondary School and later moved into college education. The group's name, Kopal, means a new shoot, and the chairman's message describes the group growing from that sapling over the years. KISTECH is approved by AICTE, recognised by the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh, and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. Its engineering degree branches are: Computer Science Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering Electrical and Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering There is also a polytechnic wing for diploma students, and the institute publishes its branch-wise intake on its website. The computer centre serves all departments.
