About KIIT World (KIIT)
History and Background
About KIIT World (KIIT), Gurgaon KIIT World of Education is a group of schools and colleges in Delhi and Gurugram run by the Vidyapati Sansthan Educational Society. Its higher education campus is on Sohna Road at Bhondsi, Gurugram, along the edge of the Aravali hills and away from the busier parts of the city. Two colleges share this campus: K-IIT College of Engineering and KIIT College of Education. The group's K-12 school in Gurugram is on the same site. K-IIT College of Engineering is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Gurugram University. It is organised into two departments: Department of Engineering: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and in Electronics and Communication Engineering, with a common foundation year and project-based teaching Department of Business and Entrepreneurship: BCA, BBA and MBA, with analytics, mentoring and a built-in industry internship KIIT College of Education trains teachers through B.Ed and M.Ed courses. Its website lists Gurugram University, NCTE, NAAC and UGC as its reference bodies. Applications for all programmes can be made online through each college's website. The engineering college publishes its eligibility criteria and offers merit-based scholarships. Its students have reached the Smart India Hackathon 2025 grand finale and the AICTE IDE Bootcamp 2026 finale. The campus has engineering and computing labs, technology-enabled lecture halls, an auditorium for seminars and cultural events, sports grounds and courts, a fitness complex and student residences. A Career Development Cell starts placement training well before the final year. Students can also join clubs and societies, cultural festivals and community work on campus.
