About Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education
History and Background
About Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education, Delhi Before 2005, students in Narela on Delhi's northern edge had no college close to home. Kasturi Ram College of Higher Education (KRCHE) was set up that year on Kureni Road near Narela Mandi to change that. The idea came from the late Shri Ram Chander Aggarwal and Smt. Kasturi Devi, local residents who wanted a modern institute for the area's young people. Their sons, Shri Mahender Kumar Aggarwal and Shri Ravinder Kumar Aggarwal, carried the plan through under the Kasturi Ram Research Centre for Science and Management, a registered society. The college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and recognised by AICTE and NCTE. It holds a Category 'A' grade from GGSIPU's joint assessment committee and the Delhi government's fee regulatory committee, and it is ISO 9001:2015 certified. The library is a member of DELNET and the British Council Library network. Courses on offer: BBA B.Com (Hons) BCA BA in Journalism and Mass Communication (BAJMC) B.Ed Admission works through IP University's counselling, using CET or CUET scores depending on the course, and the college follows the vacancy and spot round schedules set by the Delhi Directorate of Higher Education. Students looking for a BBA, BCA or B.Ed college in north Delhi under IPU will find KRCHE one of the few options in the Narela belt. Girls in BBA and BCA can also apply for the AICTE Saraswati scholarship, and the college has tie-ups with bodies such as the Airports Authority of India and ISDC.
