The establishment of Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), Tamil Nadu took place in the academic year of 1984. The institute was formerly known as Arulmigu kalasalingam College of Engineering and Kalasalingam University. The university has been given the status of “Deemed to be university”.
