About Institute of Management Research and Technology (IMRT), Lucknow IMRT Business School is in Management Park, Vipul Khand-6, Gomti Nagar, one of Lucknow's busier residential and office areas. The institute started in 2008 and focuses on management and computer applications. Its flagship course is a two-year, four-semester MBA, approved by AICTE and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), with college code 756. Graduates with at least 50 percent marks (lower for reserved categories) can apply. They can take a direct admission at the institute or come through AKTU counselling, and the college publishes its list of vacant MBA seats each year. Undergraduate courses come through CIMS, an associate college on the same campus that is affiliated to the University of Lucknow: BBA, a three-year course that mixes management subjects with interdisciplinary papers BCA, a three-year, six-semester course in programming and software for students heading into IT Students who are still waiting for their Class 12 results can apply for BBA and submit marksheets at final admission. Fees for the university courses follow University of Lucknow norms. IMRT says it runs on a corporate-style structure and wants students to work on real business problems instead of only reading about them, with life-skills and personality training built into the course.
