About Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Tourism - Udaipur (IHMCT), Udaipur The Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Tourism at Balicha, Udaipur (IHMC-U) was founded in 2003 to train staff for the city's palace hotels and lakeside resorts. It is run by an educational society registered under the Rajasthan Societies Act, 1958, and has been teaching hotel management in Udaipur for over two decades. All programmes are affiliated to Vishvakarma Skills University, Jaipur, earlier known as RISU, a state university created by the Rajasthan legislature and recognised by the UGC under Section 2(f). Courses are approved by the Government of Rajasthan, and diplomas and degrees are awarded by the university.
