History and Background
The establishment of the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune , commonly known as IISER Pune , took place in the academic year of 2006. The institute was built up with the help of the Ministry of Human Resource Development . The institute is one of the premier research institutes of national aims to be the Institute of the highest eminence in both teaching and research. The institute was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament . It was an initiative to impart Science education in India and to become a Science University of the highest caliber. It varies from one program to the other. IISER Pune Admissions are explained below: Admission to Integrated Ph. D . depends on the marks obtained by candidates in J AM, JEST, JGEEBILS, or NBHM entrance examinations. Admission to the Ph. D. program is done based on candidates' marks in NET/DBT-JRF A/ICMR JRF/DBT BINC/CSIR/UGC NET/DAE JEST entrance examinations.
