About Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC)
History and Background
About Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad Inderprastha Engineering College was founded in 2000 as a self-financed college by a society formed by a group of bureaucrats from Uttar Pradesh. It is in the Sahibabad Industrial Area (Site IV) near the Surya Nagar flyover in Ghaziabad. The full address is 63 Site IV, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad 201010. IPEC is approved by AICTE. It is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) and, for some programmes, to Chaudhary Charan Singh University (CCSU), Meerut. NAAC has accredited the college with an A+ grade, and it is ISO 9001 certified. It has also been given more academic freedom to shape industry-oriented curricula. The main draw is the four-year B.Tech, offered in: Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering Diploma holders can join in the second year through lateral entry. Beyond engineering, IPEC runs MBA and MCA programmes and the undergraduate BBA and BCA. Students can join technical societies such as the ACM and CSI chapters, and the college has a central library and hostel accommodation. B.Tech admission goes through AKTU counselling based on JEE Main ranks. MBA and MCA follow AKTU's process for those courses, and M.Tech applicants use GATE.
