History and Background
About Impact College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Bangalore Impact College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (ICEAS) is on the IMPACT campus at Sahakara Nagar South in north Bangalore. It belongs to the IMPACT Group of Institutions, which started with Impact Polytechnic in 1983. The group was built around training engineers with a practical, industry-focused approach, and it now runs more than five colleges and schools. Between them they offer five engineering disciplines at degree level and nine at diploma level. ICEAS is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Its departments teach these undergraduate programmes: B.E. Computer Science and Engineering B.E. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering B.E. Mechanical Engineering B.E. Civil Engineering At postgraduate level the college runs M.Tech courses, including Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The M.Tech in CSE covers advanced computing topics, and the mechanical course mixes design and manufacturing theory with lab work. The newer AI and ML department works on applications in healthcare, security and automation. Students can live in hostels on campus.
