History and Background
About ICFAI Tech School (ICFAI Hyderabad), Hyderabad IcfaiTech is the Faculty of Science and Technology of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a deemed-to-be university in Hyderabad, Telangana. IFHE was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, and has NAAC accreditation with an A++ grade (CGPA 3.59). Along with the Faculty of Management (IBS Hyderabad) and the Faculty of Law, IcfaiTech forms one of the university's three main faculties. The engineering school runs four-year B.Tech programmes alongside B.Sc. and BCA courses, and Ph.D. research in engineering and the basic sciences. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, including an AI and Data Science stream B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering B.Tech Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Robotics with AI) B.Sc. Computer Science (Hons and Hons with Research), and BCA The first two years of the B.Tech are common, covering basic sciences, programming, humanities and English. Students then take an internship after the fourth semester, move to discipline courses in the third year, and can pick electives from other branches in the final semester. Admission to B.Tech is through IFHE's own entrance test, ATIT, held each April, rather than JEE Main. Applicants need at least 60 percent in Class 12 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English, and students still writing Class 12 can apply as long as they show their results at admission. IFHE is a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
