About Goel Institute of Technology & Management
History and Background
About Goel Institute of Technology & Management, Lucknow Goel Institute of Technology and Management is part of the Goel Group of Institutions on Ayodhya Road near Indira Canal, Lucknow. It is run by the Roop Chand Ramji Lal Education Trust. The trust is named after Sri Roop Chand Agarwal and his son Sri Ramji Lal Agarwal, whose family set it up to carry their idea of value-based education into a new generation of colleges. The engineering and management courses are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, formerly UPTU. Diploma courses are affiliated to the Board of Technical Education, Lucknow. The group has also branched into AYUSH education through a college affiliated to Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University, Gorakhpur, and approved by the relevant national commission. The B.Tech programme is the largest part of the institute. It is offered in: Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering M.Tech is available in branches such as Computer Science and Electronics, along with MBA and MCA programmes. Admission to B.Tech, MBA and MCA is through AKTU counselling. Engineering seats use JEE Main ranks, and diploma holders can join the B.Tech in the second year through lateral entry. Polytechnic seats are filled through the state's joint entrance for diplomas.
