History and Background
About GITAM University, Bangalore GITAM's Bengaluru campus lies at Nagadenahalli in Doddaballapur taluk, on NH 207, a short drive from Kempegowda International Airport. It is one of four campuses of GITAM (Deemed to be University), which was founded in 1980 and is accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. The campus covers about 40 acres. The Bengaluru campus hosts schools of technology, business, science, and humanities and social sciences. Engineering on this campus is centred on computing. B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering B.Tech CSE with specialisations in AI and Machine Learning, Cyber Security, and Data Science M.Tech Data Science BBA and MBA at the GITAM School of Business Ph.D. in computer science and other disciplines Admission to B.Tech is through the GITAM Admission Test (GAT). Candidates need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and a minimum aggregate set by the university each year. For the MBA, applicants need a bachelor's degree with 60 percent aggregate and a valid score in GBAT, GITAM's own business admission test, or another management entrance test the university accepts. GITAM points to the campus's industry links in Bengaluru as a source of internships and projects for students. Students live on campus in hostels, and the campus holds cultural and technical events through the year.
