History and Background
About GCRG Group of Institutions, Lucknow G.C.R.G. Group of Institutions is a private, multi-discipline campus on Chandrika Devi Road at Bakshi Ka Talab, on the northern outskirts of Lucknow. The group started in 2008, and its 50-acre site now holds colleges for engineering, management, pharmacy, nursing and teacher education, along with a polytechnic and an ITI. The same campus has the 300-bed G.C.R.G. Memorial Hospital and the GC Homoeopathic Medical College and Research Center, which gives nursing and paramedical students clinical exposure close by. The engineering and MBA programmes are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), with institute code 473 for B.Tech and 620 for MBA. The polytechnic comes under the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (code 2281). The main programmes are: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (with AI & ML, Data Science and Cyber Security options), Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Biotechnology Polytechnic diplomas in Mechanical (Automobile and Production) and Electronics and Communication BBA and MBA D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics and Chemistry) B.Sc Nursing, GNM, ANM, and diplomas in physiotherapy and optometry B.Ed and D.El.Ed, and ITI trades such as Electrician, Fitter, Welder and Draughtsman Civil B.Tech seats at AKTU colleges are filled mainly through state counselling based on JEE Main ranks, and MBA seats go by the management entrance scores AKTU accepts.
