Easwari Engineering College was established in the Academic year of 1996-97 and is situated in Bharathi Salai, Chennai. It is a private self-financing institute established with the approval of the Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), New Delhi. It is an affiliated university. Since 2002, it is affiliated to Anna University (Chennai) and previously it was affiliated with University of Madras . It is placed under the category of A-grade universities by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It is a division of Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Group of Educational Institutions for higher learning (SRM). A state level counseling called TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) takes place in order to rank the students. The ranking is done on the basis of 12 th merit list. The selection is made on the basis of valid TNEA score. According to the admission policy of Easwari Engineering College, the admission procedure for UG Students seeking admission to the UG programs such as B.E./B.Tech. should have passed higher secondary examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
