History and Background
Dr. J. J. Magdum College of Engineering was established in 1992 by the Dr. J. J. Magdum Trust at Jaysingpur in Kolhapur district. Dr. J. J. Magdum and Dr. Prabha Magdum founded the trust in 1977. The college is approved by AICTE, recognised by the Government of Maharashtra (DTE) and affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. It has been autonomous since 2024-25 and holds a NAAC A grade.
