About Doon College of Engineering and Technology, Dehradun Set up in 2009, Doon College of Engineering and Technology is a private college at Thakurpur, Premnagar, on the western side of Dehradun. Its B.Tech list includes Automobile and Chemical Engineering along with Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. It also runs three-year diplomas in Electronics and in Mechanical Engineering. Seats are split three ways. Half are university seats, 35% are payment seats, and the remaining 15% are kept for NRI, management and sponsored candidates. The university and payment seats are filled from a merit list based on an entrance test held by the college as per university orders, and the college is also linked to the Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam.
