History and Background
About Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM), Bangalore Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSATM) is an engineering and management college on Kanakapura Road at Udayapura, opposite the Art of Living International Centre, on the southern edge of Bengaluru. It belongs to the Dayananda Sagar group of institutions. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), approved by AICTE and recognised by the UGC, and it has since received autonomous status, which lets it frame its own syllabus and exams within VTU's framework. Four of its engineering programmes, Computer Science, Information Science, Electronics and Communication, and Mechanical Engineering, are accredited by the NBA, and the college is also accredited by NAAC. In the Ministry of Education's ARIIA 2021 innovation ranking it was placed in the "Excellent" band among private technical institutions. DSATM offers a long list of undergraduate courses and two postgraduate ones: B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, with variants in AI, Data Science, Cyber Security, Design, and IoT with Cyber Security and Blockchain B.E. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Information Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering Bachelor of Architecture MBA and MCA Admissions run through Karnataka's standard routes. Engineering seats are allotted through KCET (college code E212) and COMEDK (code E039), architecture through the Council of Architecture process (code KA22), and MBA and MCA seats through PGCET (codes B156 and C503). The college asks applicants to trust admission messages only from its official email address. The campus has departments of chemistry, physics and mathematics that also serve as research centres, and an AICTE IDEA Lab for prototyping. An internal quality assurance cell set up in December 2017 oversees teaching standards and NAAC reporting. Students have access to a counselling centre, a health care centre, a cafeteria and college transport, and a placement cell works with recruiters through the year.
