Nursing prospectus says nursing training in Ludhiana started in 1889, the General Nursing programme began in 1936, and the School of Nursing was upgraded to a College of Nursing in 1973, when 18 students were admitted to B.Sc. Nursing. M.Sc. Nursing started in 1987. The prospectus says 60 students are admitted to B.Sc. Nursing each year, 50 to GNM, and 25 to M.Sc. Nursing.
