About BIMT
History and Background
About BIMT, Gurgaon BIMT Gurgaon is a management and computer applications institute in Gurugram, Haryana. Its programmes are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, the Haryana state university founded in 1975. MDU holds an A grade from NAAC, and its campus also houses IIM Rohtak. Degrees for all BIMT courses are awarded by MDU. The flagship course is a two-year MBA. Students take a dual specialisation, choosing two areas from human resources, finance, marketing and international business. The institute describes the course as demanding, with an emphasis on independent work and an entrepreneurial way of thinking. At the undergraduate level there are two three-year degrees: MBA with dual specialisation in HR, Finance, Marketing and International Business BBA, taught through live projects and presentations alongside lectures BCA, with an industry-linked syllabus and lab-based teaching BIMT has been running for more than a decade and holds conferences and guest sessions for its students. A training and placement department works with students through the course to prepare them for interviews and to bring companies to campus for recruitment. Because the institute is affiliated to MDU, the syllabus, examinations and eligibility rules for each course follow the university's regulations. Applications for the MBA, BBA and BCA are handled by the institute's admissions office, and admitted students register with MDU for their university examinations. Course work combines classroom teaching with live projects and presentations, especially in the BBA.
