About Babu Banarsi Das Institute of Technology (BBDIT)
History and Background
About Babu Banarsi Das Institute of Technology (BBDIT), Ghaziabad Babu Banarsi Das Institute of Technology sits on the Delhi-Meerut Road (NH-58) at Duhai, near the old ITI. That is about 20 km from the Anand Vihar ISBT in Delhi. The Rajiv Educational Trust opened the institute in 2000 to teach engineering and management. In 2018 it added BBDIT College of Pharmacy, which offers B.Pharm and D.Pharm. The institutes are affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, and recognised by AICTE and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The pharmacy college also has approval from the Pharmacy Council of India and the Board of Technical Education, UP. BBDIT is a professional member of bodies such as IETE and the Institution of Engineers (India). The campus covers about 15 acres. Programmes on offer include: B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering Second-shift B.Tech batches in some branches M.Tech in branches such as Computer Science and Electronics Management and pharmacy courses, plus B.Ed B.Tech seats in AKTU colleges are filled through the university's counselling, which uses JEE Main ranks. M.Tech admission is mainly through GATE, and management applicants can use MAT among other accepted tests.
