History and Background
About Anjuman-I-Islam's Kalsekar Technical Campus, Navi Mumbai Anjuman-I-Islam's Kalsekar Technical Campus (AIKTC) was established in 2011 at Sector 16, Khandagaon, near Thane Naka in New Panvel, Navi Mumbai, about 3 km from the new Navi Mumbai International Airport. It is run by Anjuman-I-Islam, a Mumbai charitable trust founded in 1874 by Justice Badruddin Tyabji, the first Indian judge of the Bombay High Court. The trust now runs more than 97 institutions in Maharashtra. The campus has three schools: Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, and Architecture. AIKTC is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, approved by AICTE, the Council of Architecture and the Pharmacy Council of India, and recognised by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. It is accredited by NAAC, holds UGC autonomous status and is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. Programmes include: B.Tech in Civil, Computer (including AI and ML, and Data Science), Electrical and Computer, Electronics and Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering, plus a B.Sc. in IT M.Tech in Construction Engineering and Management, and in Structural Engineering Bachelor of Architecture and a Diploma in Architecture D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Pharmacology Ph.D. in subjects such as Civil Engineering Admission to the engineering, pharmacy and architecture programmes follows the Maharashtra DTE centralised process, with option forms filled online for first-year B.Tech seats, and the college publishes separate admission notices for B.Arch and the diploma courses. The engineering school runs an incubation centre for start-ups, an NPTEL local chapter and an ISRO outreach programme, and the campus organises academic conferences. Students can take part in NSS, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, DLLE, Rotary, Red Cross and Lions Club activities, along with clubs such as a programmers' club and e-Yantra. Support systems include scholarships, academic mentoring, a central library that runs hands-on training workshops, and grievance and women's development cells.
