History and Background
About Aggarwal Postgraduate College, Faridabad Aggarwal College in Ballabgarh, Faridabad district, has been teaching since 1971. It is a co-educational postgraduate college that receives aid from the Government of Haryana and is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The college is run by the Aggarwal Vidya Pracharni Sabha, Ballabgarh, which was formally registered in 1945 but has worked in education since 1919. Besides this college, the Sabha runs a college of education and four schools. The college is recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. UGC named it a College with Potential for Excellence in 2016, and in its third NAAC cycle in 2019 it was awarded an A++ grade with a CGPA of 3.57. Infrastructure grants have come through the RUSA scheme. Its programmes are listed below; science was added in 2012. Undergraduate: BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA and BTTM Postgraduate: MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA and MCA Certificate, diploma and advanced diploma add-on courses, including CEEP courses Applications are made online through the college website, and admission, seat and cancellation rules follow MDU's guidelines for affiliated colleges. The college also publishes AICTE mandatory disclosures on its website. Students can use career guidance resources, attend job fairs and do internships, live projects and industrial visits arranged through company MoUs. The campus is air-conditioned and has Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, computer labs, an auditorium, a library with e-resources and science laboratories. Outside class, students can join NCC, NSS, the Youth Red Cross and the Red Ribbon Club, along with sports and cultural fests. The college also has anti-ragging and anti-narcotics cells, an internal complaints committee, counselling and 24-hour security.
