About Acharya B School, Bangalore Acharya B School, which now goes by ABBS School of Management, is a stand-alone management school on Andrahalli Main Road, off Magadi Road, in west Bangalore. It does not award an MBA. Its main course is the two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), which started in 2009 and is approved by AICTE. AIU recognises the PGDM, and the school is accredited by IACBE and SAQS. The full-time PGDM runs over six trimesters instead of four semesters. Students pick electives from all the usual functional areas, and the course has more practical work than most: a 4.5-month industry internship with a faculty guide and an industry mentor, which students must finish to get the diploma a live project on a real business problem in the second year a compulsory capstone project a Campus to Community project that takes students into grassroots social issues There are a few variants alongside the general PGDM. PGDM-BFSI, for banking, financial services and insurance, now includes the CWM global wealth management certification, which the school says is the first such tie-up in South India. PGDM Global is spread over three countries and includes an internship in Singapore. Working professionals can take an executive PGDM in a format that fits around a job. The faculty list mixes doctorates in finance, marketing and operations with people holding ICMAI and insurance certifications, which suits students heading into banking and insurance roles. ABBS also holds an international conference every year, now in its 17th edition. Admissions for the 2027-29 batch are open, and the school publishes intake details on its website.
